Student & Worker Support are searching for reliable and
committed Academic Note takers to work with Students at the University of
Essex.
Responsibilities:
- Producing
accurate and legible handwritten notes for lectures, seminars/tutorials,
and group tasks
- As an academic note-taker you will be
facilitate an essential service to students studying a range of courses
from Chemistry - Psychology.
- Typing notes during the lecture and
emailing to the student afterward (where preferred by the student)
- Reviewing notes at the end of the lecture
and ensuring that they are in a suitable format for the student to access
effectively
- Acting in the best interests of learners
at all times whilst also working within the rules and procedures of the
institution
- Maintaining a professional duty as a
note-taker and being aware of the need to manage this professional
relationship with the student at all times
- Take accurate notes for students who due
to their disability find it difficult to make notes for themselves.
- Supplying assistance in a lab/library
environment tailored around the pupils support requirements
- Regarding
the needs of individual students, you will act professionally and maintain
confidentiality within your duty at all times, sharing all relevant
information with Randstad to ensure the best possible service to your
students.
Requirements:
- Good
typing skills - preferable
- Have neat handwriting - able to creat
notes in a legible and presentable manner
- Punctuality and reliability
- Accurate spelling and grammar skills
- Good organizational skills
- You will need to be able to work quickly
and under time restrictions
- Degree
